Privacy Policy

BH Tek Bookkeeping LLC

Effective date: October 20, 2026

BH Tek Bookkeeping LLC ("BH Tek Bookkeeping," "we," or "us") provides bookkeeping, payroll processing, and related business services to small businesses in the Houston area and beyond. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it.

Information we collect

Contact information. When you reach out to us, book a consultation, or become a client, we collect your name, business name, email address, phone number, and mailing address.

Financial and business records. To perform bookkeeping services, clients give us access to financial records. These may include bank and credit card statements, transaction data, payroll records, invoices, receipts, and accounting software accounts such as QuickBooks Online. We access this information only to perform the services you have engaged us to perform.

Website information. Our website is built and hosted through GoDaddy. Like most websites, it may collect basic usage information, such as pages visited and browser type, through cookies and analytics tools provided by the hosting platform.

How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide bookkeeping, payroll, and related services to our clients.
  • Communicate with you about your account, your books, and your appointments.
  • Respond to inquiries and consultation requests.
  • Operate and improve our business and our website.

We do not sell your personal information or your business information to anyone.

How we share information

We share information only in these limited cases:

  • Service providers. We use established third-party platforms to run our business, including QuickBooks Online (Intuit) for accounting, GoDaddy for our website and email, and Microsoft services for email and file storage. These providers process information on our behalf under their own security and privacy standards.
  • With your direction. If you ask us to share your records with your CPA, lender, or another advisor, we will do so.
  • Legal requirements. We may disclose information when required by law, court order, or a lawful government request.

How we protect information

We take reasonable administrative and technical steps to protect the information in our care. Access to client financial records is limited to the people performing your services. We use reputable platforms that encrypt data in transit and at rest. No system is completely secure, but protecting client financial data is central to the service we provide, and we treat it accordingly.

Retention

We keep client records for as long as needed to provide services and to meet legal, tax, and record-keeping requirements. When records are no longer needed, we delete or securely dispose of them.

Your choices

You may contact us at any time to ask what information we hold about you or your business, to correct it, or to request its deletion, subject to our legal record-keeping obligations. If you are a client, ending your engagement does not automatically delete records we are required to retain, but we will explain what we keep and why.
